This achievement places Jangro in the top 5% of companies assessed by EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability ratings.
What Is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis evaluates companies across the globe on their environmental, social, and ethical performance. It provides a comprehensive sustainability rating, helping businesses identify their strengths and areas for improvement. Over 130,000 companies have been assessed across 220 industries and 180 countries, making EcoVadis a trusted benchmark for sustainability.
The Criteria for a Gold Medal
The EcoVadis assessment focuses on four key themes, each of which must meet rigorous standards:
1. Environment
Companies must demonstrate robust environmental management practices, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, implementing energy-efficient processes, and minimizing waste. Commitment to biodiversity and sustainable resource use is also evaluated.
2. Labor & Human Rights
This theme assesses companies on their policies to ensure fair treatment, equality, diversity, and safe working conditions for all employees. It also evaluates how businesses respect human rights across their supply chains.
3. Ethics
Businesses are assessed on their anti-corruption measures, fair competition practices, and adherence to ethical principles. Transparency and accountability in operations are key components.
4. Sustainable Procurement
Companies must show that they are proactively managing sustainability risks within their supply chain. This includes engaging with suppliers who share similar values and ensuring responsible sourcing practices.
To achieve a Gold Medal, companies must score 73 or higher on the EcoVadis scale. Additionally, they must achieve a minimum score of 30 in each of the four key themes, ensuring a well-rounded approach to sustainability.
